Pancake, cake, and brownies

pancake and cake

I spent the night preparing pancakes, cake and brownies.
Makes for a good breakfast sweet, or a nice dessert.

These are quick and large recipes meant to last you through the week. I suggest you refrigerate the mix for later use, or cook it all and freeze it for a quick microwavable treat.

I am working on some recipe videos as well, so hopefully I can get around to that soon enough.




pancakes
Pancakes:
8 cups (1 kg) white flour – 0.42€
4 tablespoons baking powder – 0.11€
1 tablespoon salt – 0.03€
1/3 cup of sugar – 0.07€
4 eggs – 0.66€
3/4 cups margarine (or butter) – 0.17€

cost: 1.46€ for 16 pancakes

Add dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix. pour one ladle in pan at medium heat. flip. eat.

Whole wheat vegan pancakes:
5 cups whole wheat flour
5 cups of water
1/3 cups sugar
4 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 of margarine (or oil)

Add dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix. pour one ladle in pan at medium heat. flip. eat.
You can also substitute half of the whole wheat flour with white flour if you want a fluffier result.

Chocolate cake recipe
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup water
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups cocoa powder

Add dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix. Pour into Pan. Bake at 175 C for about 30 min or until ready.
Personally, I prefer cake without frosting. But, just about any frosting recipe will do if you want to coat your cake in it.

Vegan whole wheat brownies
4 cups whole wheat flour
4 cups sugar
2 cups cocoa powder
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups water
2 cups margarine (or oil)

Add dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix. Pour into Pan. Bake at 175 C for about 45 min or until ready.
