Continued from the previous post.
Within a week I was in Dublin. Searching for a job in Ireland during a time of economic hardship. I already knew the near impossible outcome of such pursuit. As they say, if you don’t try you get nothing. That is for sure. I have to say, my friends here have been great, hosting me in an instant. Without them this trip would have been impossible.
Dublin is chaos with snow. The city shuts down; bus lines at a standstill. Taxi’s won’t dare venture off the highway. Finally I ended up walking a good mile dragging my suitcase in the snow. Straight to sleep.
“Not an EU citizen? Bye.” The basic sentiment I felt after days of calling. Time flew by, and soon enough I’d be sitting in the Netherlands.
